This season has been an extremely special time for the Scramble as we welcome Volkswagen Group Australia to the PGA family. Volkswagen Group Australia has allowed this magnificent event to continue and this past season we have seen a new era of the Scramble unfold with a new look, new feel and most importantly a wonderful new partnership with our friends at Volkswagen.

Our inaugural season with Volkswagen has been extremely successful with 31,000 golfers teeing it up and 424 golf clubs hosting a local event across Australia. Volkswagen and their network of dealerships have enthusiastically come on board to continue the support of this event at the local level. We have had 100 dealerships engage local communities and activate at events throughout the season which has been nothing but positive for all of our Scramble events.

We saw 530 teams compete across 28 Regional and State Finals for the chance to progress, leaving 6 women’s and 22 mixed teams compete in the Championship Final. Congratulations to Bargara Golf Club and Riverlakes Golf Club for becoming the first Volkswagen Scramble Champions!

We are looking forward to strengthening our partnership in our second year and ensuring this event maintains its status as Australia’s most love pro-amateurs teams event.
