The Holden Scramble Regional Finals for 2014 have now all been run and won. Thirty teams will now make their way up to the beautiful Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast for the Holden Scramble Championship Final.

Highlights from this year’s Regional Finals included two holes-in-one. Peninsula Kingswood’s Andrew Reidy scored an ace at Sandhurt and Brent Chalker from Queanbeyan Golf Club managed to knock it in at Federal Golf Course.

Ballarat Golf Club in Victoria secured a rare double with both their Women’s and Mixed teams winning their finals at Kooringal and Eynesbury and progressing to the Sunshine Coast. It is only the second time since the Women’s section of the Holden Scramble was introduced in 2005 that this has happened. In 2008 Riverside Golf Club in Tasmania qualified for the Championship Final in both mixed and women’s events.

Howlong Golf Club in Victoria qualified for the third consecutive year while Laidley Golf Club in Queensland amazingly qualified for the fourth consecutive time. This is the first time in the event’s history that this has occurred. The Laidley Golf Club qualified in the mixed event in 2011 and 2012, while their women’s team won through in 2013 and now 2014.
