chinatourA group of 12 lucky Holden Scramblers are set to represent their country as they head to China for the International Challenge Tour.

Last year’s Holden Scramble champions and eight PGA Professional are set for a dream golfing experience when they travel to Beijing to compete in the return leg of the International Challenge Tour.

The International Challenge Tour sees representatives from the Holden Scramble in Australia and the Buick Golf League in China face off in a friendly competition held across the two countries.

The competition in China will be hosted at the world class Golden Elephant Golf Club from 14-16 July, with the Australian team set to receive royal treatment on and off the course.

The event will be played over two rounds, which will incorporate a 4BBB round and the final round being singles, for many of the Aussie players having a professional caddy to work with is sure to be a highlight.

The players will score using a modified Stableford scoring system, much like the PGA TOUR’s Barracuda Championship whereby there is greater risk-reward for players either playing aggressive or conservative on each hole with the minus points deducted from scorecard if a hole is wiped.

The International Challenge Tour has been played for the past four years with Australia never emerging victorious.

However, they will go to China excited at the potential opportunity to break the drought.
